About the role
Flikk is an AI entertainment app: personalised videos, games, and comics, all in one place. As Research Engineer, Generative Video, you would own getting the most out of the state of the art in our video (and comic) engine.
What you'll do
- Own generation quality: what the models produce, and why it is worth watching or isn't.
- Run structured experiments (architectures, samplers, conditioning, prompting, fine-tuning) and write up what you learned, failures included.
- Plan changes to our content engine and hand the plan to our backend developer to implement, so the pipelines keep pushing video into our feed.
- Stay on top of what the newest models can do, and which architectures and techniques other people are getting good results with.
What we're looking for
- Enough engineering background to understand and optimise our content engine.
- A deep interest in AI content production.
- Comfort treating content as systematic output rather than as art.
- Experience with video, image, and audio generation.
Nice to have
- Publications in generative vision, or open-source contributions other people actually use.
- Fine-tuning or training video models on your own data, not just inference.
- You have taken a research result into a live product and watched what happened to it.
